Stocks on Grey Sheets can still be traded. The bid and ask are not in the CNS as with stocks on the pinks. It's a manual process. There are no market makers for these stocks in the usual sense as we know it with the pinks. Generally, one has to call the broker and find out the last trade price. The seller or buyer then puts in an order through the broker and a dealer could handle it. I think Scottrade makes the process a little easier. Best thing is call your broker and find out how they handle the Greys.
