The volume of shares traded is all that matters not the dollar value amount of said shares. Volume percedes price. Volume is what is needed to keep the buying pressure built up. Volume is also what will move the price out of it's base eventually. The stock bashers know this that is why they are trying to get others to focus on the dollar value amount rather than the significance of volume amount.
