Yes clones are cuttings from a female plant of whichever strain you choose that grow their own roots and become new plants.People often prefer this to starting from seed because all the clones are female, and they are similar in size and shape, therefore helping consistency of ones crop. They will bud at the same time since they are the same strain. All this is assuming one feeds them and cares for them in a uniform manner.
Downside to clones are they can bud too early if they get under 12 hours of daylight, here in Marin if I put out a clone before May 1,it will start budding right away.Starting a clone indoors to give it a head start, then putting it outside when the daylight is sufficient is the way to go.
Plants grown from seed can be hardier and more disease resistant generally.
Cloning a "mother" plant keeps the strain hardy, but if you continually make clones from clones from clones, it can dilute a strain.
The Dharmanol clones will be mothers that we will clone from.It is a super high cbd strain that is very mold resistant.
