I know you are frustrated -we all are, by the nonstop political games, but a reminder to those who dont know, ore was only 10 to 14/ton til 2002-w juniors averaging ca 13/ton production cost 3 years ago-I've posted the chart many times, and Bob- a good equipenmt guy/mechanic- got a lot of good deals on equipment,so their estimated pro cost was maybe 10 or less. And of course when they ship fert that will lower pro cost eve more-see my sticky
so I estimated CWRN total cost-even if we say high side of 10/ton production plus 16/ton Panamx shipping plus 9.24/ton trucking-see May 2011 PR when fuel was higher due to Libya war oil speculation of 120/barrel equals 35.24/ton plus any other expenses -so may total 50/ton -
thats in line w Vale and BHP, who put iron into china for 40-60/ton,and juniors like CWRN have less overhead- dont have expensive railroads or lots of management or expensive labor or fancy mills etc
so 117/ton is still over 50% profit, but it is a 6 month low price, expected to rise,so they would take that into account in any shipping plans
