I think the post suggesting that hospitals and other such businesses would have sufficient plastic waste to justify purchasing and operating a P2O processor is so off base as to be laughable. The only reason Madison County Landfill would like one is because they believe they can partner with surrounding counties to have it makes sense. All of that county's agricultural waste adds up to about one week's worth of processing. So I'm not sure how it will work out even with multiple counties. There is no way a hospital would have sufficient plastic waste to have it makes sense.

It will only make sense for entities with a lot of plastic waste of a known type. Large municipalities with good separation technology could be prime candidates, but even they have to weigh the costs of a processor against alternative ways of getting rid of plastics that have been separated.

When JBI showed that the claims of processing mixed plastic feed stock went up in smoke everything changed and it is not in shareholder's favor.

This is going to be a long, long bumpy road and the likelihood of success remains low.
