I have been here over a year as well one thing you need to take to heart is a lot of things are said in good faith and subject to change (Example Sony,Amazon they make all kinds of promises and their products are late) as far as the video I am sure Big and others were instructed not to release them until Beta testing, or other contractual agreements between NTEK and Ingram,Retailer's,and other  interested parties etc. were met.
