Well it's kind of like the game of Jenga except instead of building up a tower of haphazard shares, they are trying to break the will of the weakest hands to get everything to come tumbling down.

Then I would describe the wait for the window of the opportunity as like trying to take a left turn into a median to cross over to the road that you need to take but having to wait for oncoming traffic to stop. You have to wait for the red light up stream which is on a 90 second cycle. You could risk trying to gun it through traffic, but it's a lot safter to just wait until the signals change, traffic stops, and you can take the turn with no stress.
