$HNIN Darryl K. Horne Chairman - Darryl Horne founded Horne International (formerly Horne Engineering Services, Inc.) in 1990. In his role as Chairman, Mr. Horne brings over 25 years of engineering and leadership experience and has helped countless government agencies and private corporations successfully navigate through the ever-changing world of environmental engineering. Throughout his career, Mr. Horne has been honored by various organizations including Ernst & Young Greater Washington Entrepreneur of the Year, National Capital Business, Federal City Council and US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine. In addition, he was appointed to the VMI Board of Visitors by Governor Jim Gilmore and reappointed by Governor Mark R. Warner.

Mr. Horne received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from VMI in 1982. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers, and he completed service in the U.S. Army Reserve with the rank of Captain.
