Competition or fear thereof is good. Competition fires up motivation. Thomas Edison said in different words that self-satisfaction is the blueprint of a failure. They have said pps is not their priority. They wouldn't dare be so careless about competition. After a year, it's a good idea they find the weak links in the chain and strengthen them. If they can't strengthen them, then replace them. If they can't replace them, then forge a new chain with new steel. Fear of competition is the great motivator of successful companies.
