One of the traders in my group is from Brazil, and she shorts everyday to make nice money..  Its not something I would feel comfortable doing, but it can be highly profitable if you play the right stocks. If you think about it, all you really need to do is sign up for all these junk P&D newsletters.  You know they are going up on hype and will surely fall back down.  Good bets to short on..

I was more surprised to find out that our brokers could loan our shares to help shorts cover, unless I read that wrong..
