I know......funny thing is, just within the past few days or so (I forget now, since I'm not counting), they were discussing safety - and the CEO of Yahoo got on TV and said no one is safe as long as you have any kind of e-mail. That it only takes once to log on and since most people do most of their things on line, that many criminal activities are happening to every day people and to remember to change your PW frequently.
Having different mails and/or aliases is not necessarily a path to safety
But, I have no offerings on that subject - except to note that card wise, we are in last place for safety issues world wide and they said that is why the US has not fraudulent activities than Europe and that we don't want to pay the cost of better equipment. But that has to do with credit card dealings and all the hacking that is taking place.
I've been hit twice in mylife - luckily nothing major...One with a Dept. store...and the other one thru my non department store CC. That one, they ok'd one purchase...then because they ok'd it, the person went back either on line or in person, I don't remember, to make another larger purchase. It was then then stopped it and called me to verify.
But as they have said, they can get in and access all your private info including your PIN and sec. names...
Pretty scary isn't it...
I think I'll just empty out all my $$$$ and go for a long vacation in Tahiti - and not worry about it....At least I'll enjoy the first part of the trek! HAHAHAHA
Take care
