Actually there are virtually impossible barriers to overcome internationally for a company desiring to start this type of business overseas. A global network of connections and people in those specific areas to ensure compliance with EWSI standards is paramount. IMO there are very few companies that could actually spin up operations in China, Ghana, Australia, Argentina et al as quickly as EWSI.
Barriers to entry domestically may indeed be small currently. But, most operations are fragmented and conducting the mom and pop collecton avenue. EWSI is primarily focused on the B2B and OEM recycling business. Again, connections and also capacity are the key ingredients to be successful.
There is a very small "short list" of companies that could actually accomplish what EWSI is achieving. Their vision is huge for a 150B fragmented and in many cases non existent recycling market.
Anyway, appreciate your thoughts. EWSI is going to be bigger than people can imagine...IMO of course.
