If Walgreen's thought so highly of MMR's patented independent storage-and-retrieval system for patient records that they ripped it off, it must good. Walgreen's, having been caught red-handed, is now in "settlement" discussions with MMR.
New York (December 16, 2013) -- Walgreen Co. was sued in California federal court on Friday for allegedly ripping off an online prescription portal patent owned by health records provider MyMedicalRecords Inc.
MMR’s complaint alleges that Walgreens’ online prescription portal, known as its Manage Your Prescription service, utilizes an independent records storage system that infringes U.S. Patent No. 8,498,883, entitled “Method for Providing a User with a Service for Accessing and Collecting Prescriptions.”
