It's always like that. The gods take umbrage and offer fresh reminders of who's boss if we get too overconfident and encroach on their turf. There was one particular post at the Inferno which almost surely tempted divine wrath and forecast a wretched creature's downfall if you can find it. My neighbor, who looks like Zeus, has used the ancient Greek word hubris more than once. I half expect him to throw a thunderbolt of two! Yikes!
