Ah yes. I did that a couple times before. If you sell shares it is okay to turn around and use those unsettled funds to purchase shares in another company. If however, you then turn around and sell those shares before the first transaction's funds settle it is a no no and you get slapped with a 90 day restriction. Now you have to wait the 3 days or whatever for those funds to settle.
