Brazilian state-controlled company Petrobras began production last week at the offshore bloc of Cascade, 250 kilometers (156 miles) off the coast of the U.S. state of Louisiana, according to a regulatory filing late on Thursday. Oil is being extracted from the Cascade 4 well from a depth of about 2,500 meters.
