Been reading up on the net neutrality ruling this week. If Internet service providers like Verizon and Comcast are able to limit access to content based on their discretion they will be able to start generating huge amounts of new revenue through targeted advertising. They would need technology exactly like what DUTV claims to have now more than ever.
It would not be good for consumers because access to what is available on the internetwould no longer be limited to all legal content, but to the content that a person's internet service provider (Verizon, Comcast) allows them to see. And that content would be based predominantly on what advertisers are paying those internet service providers to show customers. This weeks ruling would give the ISP's the right to do this.
If DUTV has cornered this market then shareholders stand to get filthy rich. At the same time the internet will begin a new era of content restriction based on who is willing to pay the most to have their content seen.
Just my opinion..
