Well in South Florida on both coasts they use CBS (concrete, block, stucco) construction. The only thing made of wood are frame outs for those half round windows if they are used & the trusses & plywood for the roof, other that that, it is all masonry. the studs used for inside walls are sheetmetal.

But the cabinetry & trim is still wood. That rosewood makes some really nice cabinetry.
