Coming up: Retail sales, consumer inflation
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The U.S. government will release monthly reports on retail sales and consumer prices at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch project retail sales to climb 0.8% overall, or by 0.8% excluding autos. The consumer price index, meanwhile, is expected to increase by 0.7% in August. The core rate, which excludes food and energy, likely rose by 0.2%
