"...CEO of Global Electronics Recovery and GEARRS in the e-waste/reverse logistics industry, from November 2006 until the December 2010. Prior to that, from February 2004 through June 2006, he was the founding CEO of Encompass Group Affiliates during which time he negotiated the acquisition of more than $100 million worth of businesses in the electronics reverse logistics industry ."

He's been involved in many different kinds of industries during his long career but it seems when he got involved in e-waste, he seemed to find the industry he wanted to stay in and help succeed. I wonder if Nielson has ever mentioned in an interview or Q&A what the e-waste industry means to him. Aside from the e-waste industry being a huge and growing industry, it almost seems like a personal cause for him considering the multiple companies he has headed involved directly in e-waste. To me, a CEO who actually believes in his company and its direction on a personal level elevates the company to another level. I know it's nothing like charts and numbers, but it might be that X factor that really takes this company to the big leagues.
