March 2013
AFTC: We just received a grant/contract from the National Science Foundation to work on DME. Our partners are Michigan Tech. University, Argonne National Lab, and Navistar. We are supplying a new, high pressure DME injection system. There were something like 1000 applications for grants and 2 were picked, so we did well. Unfortunately, because of the sequester and other factors, the budget was cut by 2/3! We are waiting for the final numbers. Work will start in a month or so,
We have some pending military/aerospace business pending, but this is confidential.
We have a DME proposal pending at another University. We should hear something about this within 60 days.
We are working on a new concept for passenger car that will use DME blended with another fuel. This is not truly a diesel engine, but the efficiency is very high.

Argonne is one of the Energy Department's largest national laboratories for scientific and engineering research staffed by more than 1,250 scientists and engineers. White House officials said it was chosen as the site of the president's speech because of its tradition of research into vehicle technologies.
