I was a TECO shareholder well before your person of interest came on board.
I also own 35mm shares of GARB which will probably never trade and if it does I'm certain to have a loss if I can sell it. I get stock leads from numerous sources and never, never blame them for my decision to hit the buy button. That is your responsibility. YOU should have verified any rumors or opinions. YOU should have looked into any information or DD that was being provided. Instead you have lost money for not understanding the microcaps and/or a particular stock.
