Legalization by Uruguay is a very big deal. It's going to be very difficult for Uncle Sam, the world's top general in the war on illegal drugs, to lecture Uruguay on the "evils" of this federal schedule 1 drug and the need for interdiction of mj when two states of the US have done the same thing Uruguay did, not counting the 21 states and D.C. that have approved cannabis for medical purposes. South America's Uruguay has bi-lateral treaties with the US and full diplomatic relations. This action by the people of sovereign Uruguay makes the federal classification of schedule 1 for mj look even more ridiculous than it already is.
