Yes - I was impressed with that post also. Prurisol is a real sticking point for me. Reason for change of direction remains undisclosed and after multiple announcements and confirmation of announcements telling us trial was ready to start recruiting in Europe...well...at this point I suspect EMA turned down their app - forcing them into direct dealings with FDA and thus the phase one study. Note also that they avoid calling it that! What the hell!?
I wish they'd let Prurisol die. There will be many new competitors by the time it reaches the market. It's black box warning won't compete well against new peers proven to lack toxicity.
