Re: umd_scientist #1000
I got your messages loud and clear. No worries at all. I'm not so sure that major shorting is the issue with EWSI. There are very large accounts that are very green who may be willing to stifle the stock and try and keep it range bound. They may simply be trying to take profits and further increase their total position by bashing the stock, selling some into the bid, and creating road blocks that they know are emotional stumbling blocks for most retail.
If I had enough powder I would even consider a market buy for 500K blocks to clean out the varmints without them seeing the action until it hit. The danger is that the MMs would simply take the shares and not allow the action to progress. But, since I've been watching EWSI for so long now the MMs seem to treat this one fair.
If a group gets a big enough position at a low enough price they can indeed control ebb and flow of an issue. Buying and holding on any and all dips and providing bid support at obvious moving averages (like the 50SMA around 05ish) keeps them at bay as they simply cannot get what they want. Sooner or later they run out of shares and have to chase the stock up if they want it.
