Protests in Ukraine
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians filled the streets of Kiev, no longer focused solely on a trade agreement with the European Union but turning their attention to recasting their country’s frayed and corrupt political system. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has been facing mass street protests over his U-turn in policy, away from Europe and toward Russia.
