Grants & Contracts News! Sharp Collaborates on Pathogen Detection
A recent Wall Street Journal article featured the collaboration between Dr. Josh


Sharp, Biology, and Micro Imaging Technology (MIT). The partnership between the


Sharp Lab and MIT will eventually allow for rapid identification of bacteria


pathogens. Outcomes of this research are expected to significantly impact patient


healthcare outcomes.

Internal Award Recipients Announced


Ten faculty members received Reassigned Time Awards for Winter 2014. The


recipients are:

 Keith Ellis (Art and Design)
 Tara Foster (Modern Languages and Literature)
 Molly Freier (Academic Information Services)
 Norma Froelich (Earth, Environmental, and Geographic Sciences)

  Josh Sharp (Biology)
 Suzanne Williams (Chemistry)


Three students received Spooner Student Research Grants for Fall 2013. The


recipients are:
