Right on , but on some ,the fluid goes thru a heat exchanger first then into a coalescer first stage of the vessel is a free water knock also degaser then on to the coalescing side the fluid comes in from the bottom of the vessel and as the oil travels through the water in the lower part, it's dehydrated, water clings to water , the oil goes to upper part where the grid does its job causing the last bits of water to drop out ( positive negative charge ) water conducts oil does not vibrating molecules . Emulsion breaker chemical is also used . Fun stuff
