I think a showdown leading to rapprochement might happen. The university research (indicating positive results) coming from Britain and the continent over the years, and still coming, must be on Big Pharma's view screen. The recent anti-epilepsy study came out of the UK. The NCI cites a few US university studies. Over the years, also, there have been a number of unsuccessful attempts by politicians, cozy with Big Pharma, who have introduced legislation to regulate vitamin supplements and herbal supplements as ethical drugs. These attempts have been beaten back by an aroused public and an increasingly powerful health food lobby. That doesn't mean the B.P. stooges won't keep trying. Vigilance!
