No question. The CEO is a decision maker, a communicator, a manager and leader. In the communicator role, CEO interfaces with the press and the outside world, the management and the employees. The CEO is the leader in the development and execution of the long term strategy. The CEO sets the tone for the corporate culture. In short, a good CEO worthy of the title is what we very much need.
Mayor, SK3 president who signs the SK financial statements and on whose desk the buck stops, is a flop as judged by even middling corporate standards. Allyn and Benz seem to be filling in as ad hoc part-time CEO. But CEO demands full time effort.
