Who is this I NEED HELP? Someone please tell them they need to come to the "Funny Farm" they are WAY too intelligent to post on iFlub! Notice how he/she too use intuition and events to play the CTIX ups and downs . . . sort of like my unsophisticated . . . look who's showed up on the board, again!

I have yet to subscribe to or apply any sophisticated software to my trading. But, I may be moving in that direction. I have tried many services (some not so cheap either), and newsletters and periodicals (IBD, Zacks , for example). I have been universally disappointed. But, each service and newsletter has been informative. None have been the Holy Grail. That one I am still in search of.
I kind of do my own back testing. For example, pull up a one year chart for CTIX. See any patterns? I do. As I have said before, I do not try to force a stock into a chart time period or force it to conform to indicators. I play around to find the correct time period and indicators that match the stock performance . With CTIX, I also pay attention to company events. I have CTIX on my calendar. I also read this and other boards, etc., keen to learn of potential catalysts (good or bad). I also pay attention to filings, headlines, and news.
I give equal weight to fundamentals and technicals. If screening , I start with technicals. If I like what I see, I dig into the fundamentals. The vast majority of stocks I screen, I toss. The vast majority of stocks I research, I toss. I look for the crème de la crème. Just too many stocks out there to have to settle. Guess, this is one reason I follow CTIX (yummy).
One other good piece of advice, let the investment come to you. Don't chase it. Patience.
