or lock in prices for a long term contract,which as far as we know they are negotiating to make things simpler long term- to avoid the excruciating negotiations for each load that the chinese are famous for
extrapolating from the little we know, I would also guess they are working on broadening the permit parameters to eliminate restrictions,whether as to country or otherwise
though the amount listed as permitted for the current year means very little --its a non-sensical govt thing-and the actual ore shipped in 2011 greatly exceeded the NOMINAL amount on the permit of 45,000 tons
they musy have at least 6-7 Panamax's worth of inventory, being conservative, from info the co previously provided- 200,000 tons of waste byproduct alone as of june 2012- worth more than 200,000 tons of regular product
so hope they give us a Christmas present and start moving it out the door,even if they have to sue the govt again to get the ore moving- dont know what the holdup is-
but maybe they are also working on permits for the shiploading station their website said would be operational by 2014- after the games they've seen the govt/ port play
because they planned on using much larger cape size ships-so named because they are too large for the Suez and Panama canals, so they have to go around the capes of Africa and S. America
