Your original supposition of only 140 shareholders may be correct even though the number seems remarkably low for an actively followed stock. Pro found that the "140" refers to "beneficial owners." These are owners whose shares are held in street name by the broker -- so called NOBOs.(non objecting beneficial owners). Most shareholders who have shares in a broker account are NOBOs by default.
