Options are extremely difficult to trade, and I wouldn't recommend them for any novice trader unless you have many years of experience under your belt. Practice with a paper account for a minimum of at least 3-6 months before you even trade a real dollar. Learn how everything works like the greeks, volatility, everything! Learn how to profit. First starting out you will probably get wiped out a few times.

But also there are a million different strategies for trading options. Just gotta find what works best for you. High beta stocks (AAPL, GOOG, types) you can make a lot of money quickly, but you can also lose all that money just as fast!
