NEW YORK, Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (otcqx:OTCM) issued the following statement today:
Beginning at 6:00 a.m. ET, OTC Markets Group's OTC Link ATS, our SEC registered alternative trading system, experienced issues connecting to our primary data center location in New Jersey due to a network outage at one of our core network providers. At 9:28 a.m. we announced that we would be halting quoting and messaging on OTC Link ATS. In the best interest of our broker-dealer subscribers, we determined to continue the halt until trading could resume normally.
We worked with our network provider to restore connectivity at approximately 2:00 p.m. ET. We then worked with regulators to reopen OTC Link ATS with quoting restored at 2:45 p.m. ET and full message and trading capability at 3:00 p.m. ET.
