Commentary: Investing in social media is not for the thin-skinned
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Investors hoping to snag any shares of Twitter Inc. in its upcoming initial public offering got another glimpse Tuesday of how volatile investing in social-media companies can be, even for experienced investors.
Shares of both LinkedIn Inc (NYSE:LNKD) and Yelp Inc. (NYSE:YELP) tumbled after the pair reported their respective financial results.
