I recently became a mod on AEGY somehow!!...I have no idea but I like it.  I can tell you that there's zero communication among mods. No staffing hours, not a word communicated to me at all. Just an automated message that said your request to mod has been approved. It's basically a peek in and see what happens and if you feel so inclined, try to deal with it.
