By having a trading position, I'm gradually whittling away at my averaged cost basis. So for me, flipping using $10K, has netted me a 12% gain past week. All these nickels and dimes add up.

My long position took a big hit this week from where it closed last Friday. Sometimes I think about closing it all out and just daytrading SKTO instead. Yet it's always in the back of my mind it could go ballistic anytime, and I might be out of the position when it happens.
