U.S. stocks up on hopes for Washington moves
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — U.S. stocks climbed on Friday, adding to Wall Street’s largest single-day percentage gain since early January, as investors looked for signs of further progress in the debt-ceiling and government-shutdown standoff.
