I guess one way to analyze a lease is to give away the 75% of the NRI to the drilling team or others in order to keep the exploration costs low.  Then if the first couple wells are successful move on to other adjacent wells at higher percentages i.e. 75%-100% NRI.  I like that strategy and one I never considered.
