Atlantic Power owns and operates a fleet of power generation and infrastructure assets in the U.S. and Canada. Co.'s power generation projects sell electricity to utilities and other commercial customers under long-term power purchase agreements. As of Dec. 31, 2012, Co.'s power generation projects from continuing operations had an aggregate gross electric generation capacity of approximately 3,366 megawatts (MW) in which Co.'s aggregate ownership interest is approximately 2,117 MW.
