VANCOUVER, Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Sandstorm Gold Ltd. ("Sandstorm" or the "Company") (NYSE MKT:SAND, TSX:SSL) is pleased to announce the closing of the previously announced acquisition (the "Acquisition") of all the outstanding common shares of Premier Royalty Inc. ("Premier Royalty"). The resolution approving the Acquisition was approved by 99.95% of the votes cast by Premier Royalty shareholders at a special meeting held on September 30, 2013. A Final Order approving the Acquisition was granted by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on October 3, 2013.
With the acquisition of Premier Royalty, Sandstorm has a cash balance of over $90 million and a portfolio of 9 gold streams and 25 gold royalties, 13 of which are producing gold.
