As far as I am told, the FDA have furloughed over half of their staff (not certain of that number though. HHS, of which the FDA is part of has furloughed 52% or a bit more). To the best of my knowledge only critical matters will be attended to. Even clinical trials with the NIH will be halted. That is to say the acceptance of new trials. Patients currently being treated in trials will still receive care. I am still awaiting an email from someone with more details. I thought I would have received it by now. But, she might be at home, having a tear or two in her wine because she has been furloughed. I dunno.
---Military personnel were told they would be working without pay for the time being (unless O signed a last minute order changing that. I don't know if he did.
---400,000 Dept. of Defense folk were told to go on unpaid vacation.
---Death benefits for fallen soldiers are delayed
A boatload more of crap...
I am not on Koos's top ten list of favorite people. Yes I have addressed many concerns. I have received no response. This comes as no great surprise to me now.
I (we) assumed the NDA was required in an effort to protect the company in case we were spying eyes for another bio-tech. I understand that, given how the business works. We were privy to information that the company would certainly not want a competitor to know. IMO.
