This recognition includes two promotions to Partner and five Managing Directors who have shown exceptional dedication and expertise.
Promotions to Partners
Lenia Ascenso and Leslie Fitzgerald have stepped into the role of Partner.
Lenia Ascenso joined Partners Capital in 2021 and has been pivotal in establishing the Investment Operations function. With an impressive background of 25 years in senior investment operations, Lenia has gained insights from notable firms like NEPC, JP Morgan, and Wellington. She operates from our Boston office, consistently leveraging her deep expertise for the benefit of the firm and its clients.
Leslie Fitzgerald has been with Partners Capital since 2017, coming from Cambridge Associates. As part of the Client CIO team, she has effectively managed relationships with numerous private and institutional clients in North America while also based in Boston. Her strategic insights have greatly contributed to the firm's success and growth.
Newly Appointed Managing Directors
The five new Managing Directors represent diverse talent from Partners Capital’s UK and US branches:
- Sameer Bahl (Boston): Sameer has been with Partners Capital since 2019 and serves as a Client CIO. He manages a variety of institutional and private clients in the US and is a portfolio manager for the firm's flagship multi-asset class vehicle. His strong background includes roles at Fidelity Investments and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
- Jonny Brooks (London): Joining in 2020, Jonny provides strategic legal advice, bringing over ten years of experience from respected firms such as Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, Addleshaw Goddard LLP, and Nabarro LLP.
- Lauren Kirby (Boston): Lauren joined the firm in 2016 as a Client CIO, focusing on educational endowments, foundations, and private clients. Her previous role was as an Investment Analyst at GCM Grosvenor, showcasing her capability in investment management.
- Joe Mason (London): With Partners Capital since 2015, Joe is a Client CIO for key institutional and private clients. His passion for portfolio construction has positioned him as a thought leader within the firm, leveraging his past experience as an Equity Research Analyst at BGR Asset Management.
- Amar Patel (London): Amar, who came on board in 2014, is also a Client CIO, managing institutional and family office clients.
