Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. Celebrates Major Drilling Milestone

Exciting Developments at Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd.
Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd (“Falcon”)
Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV: FO, AIM: FOG) is thrilled to report the successful execution of the three well batch drilling campaign in the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in the company's ongoing exploration and production efforts.
Details of the Drilling Campaign
This 2025 campaign consists of the successful drilling of three wells: Shenandoah South SS2-1H, SS2-3H, and SS2-5H. Each well has been drilled, cased, and suspended ahead of the planned stimulation phase, featuring impressive horizontal sections extending 3,000 meters (approximately 10,000 feet). The campaign represents the largest drilling initiative ever undertaken in the Beetaloo Sub-basin.
Innovative Techniques and Effective Implementation
This initiative marks the first multi-well program to incorporate batch drilling techniques in this region. Such innovation has allowed for streamlined workflows and reduced timeframes. The campaign's average drilling time to reach target depth was just 26.7 days, successfully staying within the anticipated 35-day period.
Implementing modifications to the mud system and utilizing advanced anti-vibration drilling bits significantly enhanced drilling efficiency. In fact, the drilling speed reached approximately 1,000 meters in a single day for the SS2-1H well—setting a record for the fastest horizontal section drilled in the Amungee Member B-shale to date.
Plans for Stimulation and Gas Sales
Looking forward, there are plans for up to 60 stages of stimulation across the complete 3,000-meter horizontal section of the SS2-5H well, scheduled for Q4 2025. Following this stimulation, the well is expected to undergo flow testing for 30 days in preparation for future gas sales.
In the first half of 2026, an additional three wells—including the second well from the previous drilling campaign—are projected to undergo stimulation before gas sales commence. It's anticipated that all wells from the Shenandoah South Pilot Project will collectively deliver the contracted volume of 40 MMcf/d under the Gas Sales Agreement with the local government, pending weather conditions and approvals from stakeholders.
CEO's Insights
The CEO of Falcon, Philip O’Quigley, shared his enthusiastic remarks following the successful completion of the drilling campaign. He praised the excellent execution by Tamboran, highlighting the significance of having three horizontal cased wells created as part of this initiative. O’Quigley indicated that with 12,000 meters of horizontal sections prepared for future stimulation, Falcon is moving closer to connecting these wells to gas gathering and compression facilities currently in development.
He expressed optimism about upcoming developments, stating that sales through the Northern Territory government are expected to begin in mid-2026. O’Quigley reinforced Falcon's commitment to keeping stakeholders and shareholders informed about the ongoing advancements as momentum within the Beetaloo Sub-basin escalates.
