The ongoing drill program is designed to upgrade resources and explore extensions of mineralization particularly in key areas such as the Discovery, Rangefront, CD, and M Zone. Currently, one reverse circulation (RC) exploration drill is operational, while another is expected to join by the end of the month. Resource Upgrade Focus
- The Rangefront zone, where over 1 million ounces of oxide gold remain open for exploration, will be thoroughly examined for near-surface mineralization.
- Infill drilling in the Discovery zone aims to enhance the conversion of resources to the measured category, alongside confirming geo-metallurgical domain modeling.
- Resource conversion is further planned along the CD to F Zones, to identify the southeast and northwest extensions where mineralization still presents opportunities.
Legacy Heap Leach Pad Exploration
A Sonic drill rig has commenced a detailed investigation into the legacy Heap Leach Pad (HLP). This effort focuses on defining the material characteristics and evaluating remnant ounces of gold that could be incorporated into the mine plan, amounting to approximately 1,200 meters over 20 holes.
Metallurgical Studies and Environmental Efforts
In addition to drilling, Liberty Gold is advancing critical metallurgical studies. Phase 6 will consist of surface bulk sampling to support large diameter column testing, while Phase 7 will analyze lower-grade oxide composites to assess recovery rates pertinent to future mining scenarios. Moreover, extensive hydrologic studies are occurring, including additional monitoring wells and large-scale aquifer pump testing.
