Marco Hilty, who has served as President of Flexible Packaging, has decided to resign due to personal reasons. His last day will be on January 31, 2025, and the search for his successor has commenced.
Charles Héaulmé, Huhtamaki's President and CEO, expressed his sadness regarding Marco's departure, acknowledging the impact he has made during his tenure, particularly in developing leading strategies and a robust portfolio within the Flexible Packaging sector. "Marco has played a pivotal role in building a strong team and enhancing our capabilities over the past three years," says Héaulmé. He emphasized the importance of Marco’s contributions to the company and expressed his well-wishes for Marco's future endeavors.
Reflections on a Journey
In his farewell comments, Marco reflected on his experiences at Huhtamaki. "Making the decision to resign has not been easy, but the necessity of moving back to the United States has prompted this choice. My time here has been remarkable, filled with invaluable experiences and relationships. I believe profoundly in the promising future of the Flexible Packaging business," he shared.
Following Marco's departure, Huhtamaki has appointed Hans-Peter Edelbluth, the current Vice President for the Middle East and Africa in Flexible Packaging, as the Interim President effective February 1, 2025. During this transitional period, Hans-Peter will report directly to Charles Héaulmé.
