Unveiling Gold Potential at Labrador Gold's Hopedale Project

Labrador Gold Corp. (TSX.V:LAB | OTCQX:NKOSF | FNR: 2N6) is thrilled to reveal the findings from its expansive exploration program at the Hopedale Project. The project spans over 43 kilometers along the Florence Lake greenstone belt, which showcases geological features common to the world’s renowned greenstone belts, albeit with a history of under-exploration.

Exploration Highlights

Recent fieldwork has generated compelling results:

Thurber North Zone

The standout discovery includes a high-grade gold sample reported at an astonishing 32.32 g/t, alongside an intriguing anomalous value of 0.81 g/t attained from the northern end of the revealed 3 kilometer Thurber gold trend. This is indicative of the area’s high mineral potential.

Thurber Boundary Area

In the Thurber Boundary area, an anomalous gold value of 0.9 g/t has been noted, along with copper values reaching 349 ppm spread over an 850-meter-long zone. Exceptional soil samples have shown values up to 1,568 ppb Au, with rock samples grading as high as 0.75 g/t Au, suggesting that the Thurber Gold trend could extend an additional 1.5 kilometers northward.

Fire Ant Gold Occurrence

The Fire Ant zone also displayed promising results, yielding a high-grade 9.35 g/t Au, along with notable anomalous values including 0.3 g/t and 0.19 g/t Au, complemented by 10.8 g/t Ag. The area has demonstrated consistent mineralization, traced out over a significant area of 250 meters by 270 meters.

Jasmine and Stone Fly Occurrences

Geophysical surveys at the Jasmine Occurrence identified an approximately 400-meter-long conductor adjacent to a semi-massive sulphide grading 0.97% Zn and 0.25% Cu within a substantial 1.5-kilometer anomaly trend.

Meanwhile, at Stone Fly, researchers uncovered a new copper occurrence with 0.55% Cu and accompanying anomalous gold values ranging from 0.1 to 0.2 g/t, further demonstrating the diverse mineralization styles across the Hopedale Project.

Continued Prospecting Success

The recent prospecting efforts along the Thurber gold trend have emphasized the area's significant gold potential. In addition to the record-high 32.32 g/t Au sample, further positive indicators were recorded: samples grading approximately 0.96 g/t Au and 0.5 g/t Au were also discovered just 150 meters north and 100 meters south of TD500, respectively.

The three-kilometer trend is defined precisely by four notable gold occurrences, further strengthened by the strong presence of anomalous gold in surrounding rock and soil samples. Collectively, these occurrences highlight the geological boundaries of ultramafic volcanic rocks and altered felsic or mafic volcanic formations.

Looking Ahead

The current findings from Hopedale reflect the anticipated potential an Archean greenstone belt can offer. Roger Moss, President and CEO, stated, "The extensive Hopedale project continues to validate the mineral-rich expectations we have. The Thurber gold trend not only stands out as the most promising area, but it also presents drill-ready targets at both TD500 and Thurber Dog. We remain committed to advancing our work at Hopedale, while keenly exploring other advanced gold project opportunities for future acquisition.”

The insights from the latest rock samples demonstrate the prudent stimulus of gold and base metals in the region, generating excitement for future explorative endeavors.

Labrador Gold operates as a mineral exploration company concentrating on acquiring and exploring gold-rich projects in Eastern Canada. Presently, the Company holds around $6 million in working capital and maintains 5,263,157 shares of New Found Gold, a stake valued at approximately $18.2 million.

Furthermore, the Hopedale property showcases a comprehensive section of the Archean Florence Lake greenstone belt, which has been previously underestimated. Labrador Gold's exploration efforts indicate promising gold anomalies, extending across a 3-kilometer section of the property, revealing five significant gold occurrences. Their various exploration methods validate the prospect of discovering additional critical metals such as copper, nickel, and cobalt.
