The Society for Science has made remarkable strides in supporting STEM education by selecting 70 outstanding educators for its Advocate Program. Through this initiative, the Society is awarding $228,000 in funding to help these mentors guide students toward success in science fairs and research competitions.

This year, the Advocates represent 34 states, demonstrating the program's national reach. With 59 working in public schools, the impact is felt deeply across diverse student populations.
Successful Participation and Achievements
Since its inception in 2015, the Advocate Program has engaged 439 educators across various regions, having a significant impact on over 8,335 students. Remarkably, 76% of the students mentored have competed in either local or national science competitions. Moreover, students of Advocates have contributed more than 11,000 unique entries in science competitions, demonstrating the effectiveness of mentorship in driving student success.
