New Roles and Promotions
Linda Halley Takes on Chief Risk Officer Role
Linda Halley is stepping into the role of Chief Risk Officer. With 24 years of dedicated service at HOOPP, Linda has a wealth of experience, having held several senior positions in the finance department. Her journey began at a prominent accounting firm, and she recently served as the interim Chief Financial Officer, demonstrating her capability and familiarity with the organization's financial landscape. In her new position, she will be responsible for overseeing Enterprise, Operational and Investment Risk, alongside Corporate Strategy.
Mary Abbott Expands Responsibilities
Mary Abbott, who has served as the Chief Legal Officer, will now add oversight of Public and Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations, and Compliance to her legal responsibilities. Mary joined HOOPP in 2021 with over 20 years of expertise in corporate law, having advised various stakeholders on a multitude of legal matters. Her expanded role underscores HOOPP's commitment to robust governance and compliance practices.
Elena Palumbo’s Expanded Mandate
Elena Palumbo, the Chief Human Resources Officer, will now also lead Enterprise Communications and Corporate Services. Since joining HOOPP in 2016, Elena has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization's talent management and learning programs, leveraging her extensive experience in human resources management.
Angela Waite Joins as Chief of Staff
Angela Waite is joining the Executive Team as the Chief of Staff and Corporate Secretary. With over 15 years at HOOPP, Angela transitioned from legal practice to the organization and has been a cornerstone in governance and legal functions. In her new role, she will support both the President & CEO and the Board of Trustees, enhancing the leadership team further.
